Devlog #002 - Progress has been made
Hi all,
This week has been quite good in terms of development on Project A. We have added quite a few basic mechanics that will be built upon in the future. We have added a basic inventory, we have added a basic weapon system, we have added leaning, we have added player status bars including Health, Stamina, Thirst, Hunger and Oxygen. These bars will form the basis for the survival aspects of the game along with the zombies that will be developed later on down the line.
I am quite proud to show the two screenshots attached to this devlog, these both show off a screenshot feature we have implemented into the game, they also show off the player status bars, basic inventory and weapon status. Before we implemented the screenshot feature we would get captures using windows inbuilt snipping tool which proved to be a challenge so we add a screenshot feature to make it easier to show off Project A.
I am constantly tweaking the main test environment so that I can test every feature implemented into the game, in the near future we are looking to move testing to a proper world environment rather than just boxes and other objects scattered around everywhere. This will allow us to tweak item spawns so that they feel just right.
We are excited for the public to get their hands on Project A however it is still quite a long way away before the first playtest occurs. We will provide more information as the first playtest comes closer so make sure to keep checking the itch.io page for updates.
Thank you!
Regards,
Hayden Cunningham (SLY)
